NIDO
Nido è il primo progetto solista poetico/musicale di Jonida Prifti. Nasce a dicembre 2021. Il 15 febbraio 2022 esce in cassetta l’album di debutto “Carnica”, frutto di una performance registrata durante l’evento ‘Wet Pain_t’ del 20/12/2021 al Fanfulla (Roma) con il etichetta “My Private Own Records”.
Nido è il luogo dove annidano suono e verbo. Dallo spazio angusto e compresso nel quale convivono, pulsano i bassi, si librano scie di timbri lucidi e mentali i quali nutrono respiri e moti susseguiti da voci immerse sulla musica.
Carnica
“Carnica” prende nome dalle Alpi Carniche, territorio battuto dalle ‘Portatrici Carniche’ le quali recavano viveri e munizioni ai soldati italiani durante la prima guerra mondiale. Tra mille donne chiamate a operare sulle Alpi, l’unica a morire fu Maria Plozner Mentil, sotto il tiro mortale di un cecchino austriaco, il 15 febbraio 1916. Al momento della morte vigeva su di lei la sua compagna di viaggio Rosalia la quale rimase ferita.
I testi sono liberamente ispirati all’ultimo giorno di Maria.
La parola “Carnica” è pensata come un doppio senso e quindi contiene un duplice significato. Da un lato indica il luogo dove si svolgono le vicende della guerra, dall’altro lato indica la “Carne”. “La Portatrice Carnica”, in un senso figurato, trasporta viveri verso i soldati, ovverosia verso la vera e propria carne da macello nel territorio della Carnica, metaforicamente si porta, quindi, il loro dramma sulle spalle.

Nido is the first poetic/musical solo project by Jonida Prifti. It was born on december 2021. On February 15, 2022 the debut album “Carnica” it was released on tape as the result of a performance recorded during the ‘Wet Pain_t’ event on 12/20/2021 at Fanfulla (Rome) with the label My Private Own Records.
Nido is the place where sound and verb nest. From the narrow and compressed space in which they coexist, the basses pulsate, trails of lucid and mental timbres soar which nourish breaths and movements followed by voices immersed in the music.
Carnica
“Carnica” takes its name from the Carnic Alps, an area frequented by the women called ‘Carnic Bearers’ who carried food and ammunition to the Italian soldiers during the First World War. Among a thousand women called to work in the Alps, the only one to die was Maria Plozner Mentil, under the deadly shot of an Austrian sniper, on February 15, 1916. At the time of her death, her travelling companion Rosalia that was injured.
The lyrics are freely inspired by Maria’s last day.
The word “Carnica” is thought of as a double meaning and therefore contains a double meaning. On one side it indicates the place where the events of the war take place, on the other side it indicates the “Meat”. “La Portatrice Carnica”, in a figurative sense, transports food to the soldiers, the actual meat for slaughter in the Carnic area, metaphorically she therefore carries their drama on her shoulders.

Le titre Carnica incarne un double sens. D’un côté, il fait référence aux alpes Carniques, un territoire parcouru pendant la Première Guerre mondiale par les porteuses carniques, des femmes qui apportaient des vivres et des munitions aux soldats italiens. De l’autre, il évoque la « viande », autant au sens figuré de la nourriture transportée aux soldats qu’au sens métaphorique du corps de ces femmes qui étaient la cible de violences. Parmi un millier de porteuses carniques, l’une d’elles est décédée sous le feu meurtrier d’un tireur autrichien le 15 février 1916 : Maria Plozner Mentil. Le texte Carnica, interprété par Jonida Prifti, est librement inspiré du dernier jour de Maria.
